The Ipoh School of Music was established in 1996 and has been at the forefront in bringing music education to another level in Ipoh. Kindermusik (a leading music and movement programme from United States of America and private music lessons are programmes offered and developed to date at the Ipoh School of Music. We have been actively in collaboration with both international and government schools and kindergartens in and around Ipoh, both as a provider and as a trainer. In addition to our outreach program, Ipoh School of Music ranks top 1% in the world for its work in bringing Kindermusik to the community. Ipoh School of Music is also a examination centre for ABRSM. Our music educators are well-experienced, trained and qualified.

INSTRUMENTAL MUSIC CLASS
Classical music stems from centuries of music history rich in tradition and prestige. With old
masters such as Bach, Mozart and Beethoven among some, classical music has been part of
worldwide culture for a very long time.
As an art form, classical music is pure and technical excellence is required and complexities
within the structure of the music are trademarks of the art. Instantly recognizable in its form
and sound, classical music requires a musician who is not only technically skilled, but also
one who is disciplined and with the intelligence to understand the nature and character of the
music to interpret it accordingly.
Instruments included in our Instrumental music class are piano, theory, violin, viola, cello and
guitar. Practical lessons are individual lessons while theory lessons are in a group of five and
In addition to providing kindermusik classes and private music lessons, Ipoh School of Music is actively involved in outreach programmes such as handbell, choir, tailored music programs for kindergartens in and around Ipoh. Our partner schools are Wesley Methodist School Ipoh International, Methodist Canning Garden, Tadika Bestari Riaku, SMK Ave Maria, SMK St. Bernadette's Convent and SMK Buntong.
